Conversions
If you’re looking for a straightforward, efficient and cost-effective solution, then a conversion might be the optimal solution. Using the space you already have means a conversion can be more cost effective than an extension.
Some of the more popular choices include the dormer (loft) conversion and a garage conversion. Alternatively, if you have outbuildings such as barns, store rooms or equine quarters, then there are multiple options to convert these into living space or an office/gym/studio.
New Builds
We undertake all aspects of new build projects. From the initial concept, to planning, design, building control, right up to the construction stage. Whether it's a single residence, an apartment complex or commercial property that you are after, RB Design have the expertise to help you with every step.
Change of Use
Change of use projects include converting a commercial or agricultural building into a residence, and, vice versa. This can include office space, a shop or an outbuilding such as a barn or equestrian building. All of which will require detailed drawings, structural calculations and plans in order to gain approval from the local authorities.
Structural Renovation
Changing the layout of your home can be an involved process. Even small projects like opening up two spaces will require structural calculations to assess the load bearing walls. Building regulations will need to be satisfied and this requires structural drawings and calculations to be submitted to the local authorities. RB Design has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the party wall act and we are members of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors. From advice to serving notice, acting as your appointed surveyor and producing the party wall award, RB Design can assist you throughout the process.
